You see, there are plenty of games which make use of Japanese mythology. I would also like to use the chance to explain exactly what makes Sekiro such a unique game experience, to me anyway. It is something I feel much more confident doing and I hope that even if you do not find out about the in game lore from me, I hope that my posts may help give you a deeper appreciation for the game itself through understanding. Instead, I will focus solely on what we can learn about the different aspects of the game from real life history and folklore. It seems clear to me now that lore theorizing is not my forte and I will leave that to the countless other lore posters who are much better at it than I am.
